Hey albino - if it's a more responsive tone/volume setup you're after, I would definitely take a more detailed look at the RS kits. They're designed to provide exactly what you're after.

Just out of interest - is your LS125 a new model bought in the UK or did you buy second hand, or from abroad? My one is a '05 NOS model, and I seem to recall someone here saying the SEBs were no longer being manufactured. Any other info including pics would be cool as well.

I figured the same was true of lacquers, which was why I wasn't sure whether the "lacquer" finish on my LS was actually nitrocellulose or some other product.

To be honest, I don't feel anything streaming through my body when I play my LS125 SEB (apart from large quantities of strong lager) - the above is obviously a quote straight from the marketing manager's mouth. However, to be fair my SEB is quite resonant but no more so than any other "alive"...

Probably not a great deal of help to you, but FWIW I recently bought a LS125 SEB new for just under ?600 here in the UK. I don't know about the differences in specs vs the LS200, apart from the SEB construction obviously.

My problem with poly finishes on solid bodies concerns the thickness of the finish, which in my opinion can only have a detrimental effect on tone, kind of like a dampening effect if you like. A lot of people prefer thin, matte finishes on guitars and various big manufacturers have brought out...
