Maybe this one was destined to be an LS80, but once they carved the top it revealed the defect you can see in the pics.

It is Tokai LS-60 made in 1984 in the Love Rock head silk screen logo period
The LS-60 uses a center two-piece top made of solid maple, which is rare in the LS-60 ......
Top really doesn't look like typical (solid) maple (acer saccharum) but it does look a lot like sycamore (acer pseudoplatanus) veneer.
Not very attractive IMO but different strokes for different folks.
