Set of JV Pickups

I have a set of pickups for early JV Strats (or Fullerton reissues).
Two reds and one gray.
I'd say they are for JV rather than Fullerton cause I took them from a JV I modified.

The cables to the gray one are replaced with cloth wire.

Trade for something or 500? inc shipping.

These pickups are extremely rare and last set I saw on Ebay ended at 750$US.

Is the grey for the bridge?

Was it rewound, or just plastic wire resoldered with cloth?

i think some greys came with cloth and some with plastic wire

Correct, the early JV greys from 1982 came with plastic leads.
I think the cloth greys are more commonly found on the Fullerton RIs from early 1982.

He mentioned the greys were "replaced" with cloth, so I was just wondering what else was done to the pup.

Nothing else is done to the pup.
Just replaced the cables.
Originally bridge but the cables are longer now.

All three measure within 5.80-5.90 and Strat pups aren't F-spaced so any of them is ok for bridge.

I have 3 or 4 more sets of grays and reds and they all measure in the 5.80-5.90 range.
