Can you tell me something about these 'H' stamped SS pups?

Never seen those before but I'm no F****r type expert.
Are these good? Ceramic or alnico? Ohm readings?

Jacco,

It's been speculated that the H stands for hot on certain SS models.

See these

Thanks Dave, that's a good read. So H = hot & S = Super. Those were the only 2 types used on SS?

That would make sense, this is a pic of a SS38. And looking at that last link Dave provided only the 38 & 40 had these, the rest had S stamped pups.

PS: vintage LS80s also had S stamped pickups, wonder if they were called 'Super' too. They did measure around 8.50.

Hi Jacco, I think that silverstars were also fitted with unstamped grey backs and some 84 SS80s were fitted with DiMarzio unstaggered polepiece blackbacks.Gabe.

Sorry Jacco I must be suffering from false memory syndrome.Iam sure however that I have seen flat polepiece Di marzios on a silver star but I don`t when ! Gabe.
