    Just got a LS-320

To verify a 320, see if it has a long tenon neck. Only the 320s (and now the 380s) have this neck. I have 2 320s from 2000 and one from 2003. Major improvement is in the inlays. 2000s are greenish, have filler. The 2003 is much better. But that's pretty much it, because the rest is the same...

    My second Tokai arrived yesterday

Hi Luis! Yes, I changed pots and caps, also pickups. CTS, Orange Drops and a pair of Seth Lovers. Comparing with a stock 335 w/57s, it's a smoother guitar overall, sound is much more mellow than the Gibson, giving a better jazzy feel to it, while the Gibson sounds tougher, much more rocker overall.

I'm new, but what the heck is BROCK burst?

I have a custom-ordered 320, based on the Brockburst. While it's not a perfect clone, its color is pretty enough and it does sound good as it gets!

first production year for ls 320?

I haven't seen these repros, besides of my custom ordered one: I asked for a color as close as possible to the Brockburts. I'm really happy with the result, really nice 320.

Help me indentify this one, I might buy it!

Thanks a lot fellows :D In fact, although it's a 2000 mile trip, it's still in Brazil, so there is no import duties, etc... I'm actually not in position of buying anything else, since I'm waiting for my last purchase to arrive tomorrow, a Orville by Gibson Les Paul. Man, I'm turning japanese...

Help me indentify this one, I might buy it!

I've got a chance to buy this Goldstar, but I'm not sure which model is it, so I'm asking for help! :) S/N is L24116, the year I'm guessing 84, the model I don't know. I'm guessing to be a ST-50, because of the tuners and the supposely 3-piece body. Any help is apreciated! Thanks a lot :D...

    LS 320 on the way!

Let me tell you one thing: Being owner of 3 LS320s, I can tell you that the last thing you will remeber is that top. First of all, the tone: if you have experience with high-end Gibsons, you'll understand what the fuss is about. When I got my first 320, I had a regular LP Std at the time, and...

    Found A Nice '85 LS-80...

Great score man! That is sure a looker, and if it's an under 8 pounder, I'm sure it must be a monster player! Congrats :D

Much better pics of my Tokais!

Little update: this is a pic of the back of my Cherry 320. It's just what it looks: one amazing single piece of FLAMED mahogany. It's been years since I don't see a flamed mahogany, and I haven't seen one like this before. This thing is super 3D, it realy moves under the light!

Tokai Japan now making Fender branded guitars!!!

Sounds clear to me. Since they have no Fender type on their current MIJ guitars, and since Fender US has moved most of their lower end reissues to Mexico, it seems that Tokai will take over the japan line. Good for Fender!

Much better pics of my Tokais!

Both are good choices  In fact, the darkburst was custom ordered to look like the Brockburts, and at some angles it does! The best thing about these 3 is that they complement each other perfectly in terms of tone and look, a 58, a 59 and a 60. But tonewise, it would shock many people...

    Love Rock vs Les Paul

Yep, and I'm just coming back from a trip to the US, and I've spent a good time testing the Historic Les Pauls. And I'll stand behind what I told before: I perfer the 320 to any Historic, any day. I have 3 LS-320s and, I can tell the the best one, the Cherry, is the best guitar I have EVER...

    Look what's on ebay!

Here is the opinion of someone who has played dozens of Historics, and owns 2 LS320s: I think these guitars are the best new LP-type of guitars money can buy today. I own some high end stuff like McInturff and PRS, and the 320s are not behind these guitars in any aspect. In fact, I do think my...

    Look what's on ebay!

PLEASE EXPLAIN ME ABOUT THE ES-120.

I've got a ES120, mine is called UES120, but only because a small bump on the top of the headstock, made for the UK market. I liked the Gotoh pickups, but I decide to try a pair o Seths I had around, plus CTS pots and Orange drops. The guitar siimply smokes now! It got a huge tone with 011s...

    Call the doctors, I'm addicted!

Thanks a lot fellows!!! My next one will be another burst, but this time in a different flavor! This guitar is the living proof that wood has everything to do with tone. I set up both guitars with same specs, down to pickup height and they both have their own character tonewise. The Cherry...
