For sale is my brilliant Orville Les Paul. The only reason its going is to make way for a great deal on a Gibson 58 reissue. I can provide a few extra photos if needed and I'm open to sensible offers.
This one was made in the Fuji Gen Gakki factory in 95 has a nice cherry sunburst plain top on a 3 piece back. Its features are closest to a plaintop 60's reissue due to the long neck tenon and really nice 60's style neck which a is wide D shape and sits in the hand comfortably. When I got it the setup wasnt great so I took it to chandlers for a full plek setup - as much out of curiosity about pleks as anything. Now it plays brilliantly. I've also upgraded the wiring harness (50's vintage style wiring schema) as it was badly needed.
There are a set of bare knuckles in it at present but I'm not intending to included those in the sale but will re-fit the original pickups in the next week or so. Am open to offers above the price below to include the bare knuckles if you really want them.
I measured it on bathroom (non-digital scales) which told me it was 7.5lbs which strikes me as too light. I then read a thread on here discussing accuracy of weight and wish I had access to a reliable scale. I expect its approx 8.5lbs. It is pretty light and is very resonant when strummed. A much livelier and enjoyable guitar than my Gibson 2002 LP Standard.
Its a players guitar as it has some knocks and dings - not on the front but on the back, the headstock and a little blister-type mark on the finish on the neck. None of these affect tone or playability but do give it some character.
Price is ?550 including a gigbag plus shipping (and any taxes if it goes internationally).
Thanks and if you've any questions about it, just ask.
