I plan to strip and refinish my 2005 LC80. Anyhow, I just took all the hardware off and it looks to be a maple cap on the mahogany body, not a mahogany cap like the specs say. It's going to be fun seeing where the join in the top is :D

Just been re-wiring my LC80 and I've noticed that the colour from my case has leached into the finish :o I thought the LC80s were poly ? Surely only nitro does this ? Anyway, I'll be getting rid of the case (Coffin) and getting something else to keep it in, but does anyone have any idea of the...

If I decide to replace the pots in my LC80, should I get short or long shafts ? Also, do I get four of the same 500k pots, or do I need different ones for tone and volume ? And, what capacitance would you recommend for the caps ? Cheers, chaps, Bryn

Decided to try my LC80 without the pickguard: I put the gold pickguard screws back in to neaten up the holes. This is how she looked before: I never liked it off on my Gibson Les Paul Classic, but it's kind of grown on me on this guitar :D

Just bought a new 2005 made Japanese LC70/LC80 here in the UK and it has the correct Gibbo "Open Book" headstock, but I see others with a similar headstock, but it has an extra bit in the middle, and another, which looks like a PRS one. Are these to cater for different countries to get around...
