Serial Number help please.

Hi.
I have just picked up a "Jazz Sound" Tokai bass.
The serial is CH051970.
It also has Oldies But Goldies on the headstock.
Would I be correct in assuming this is a 2005 Chinese model?
Any info would be gratefully appreciated!

That's a new one on me. I think that is the first time I have seen a Chinese number on a neck plate. Normally ink stamped on the back of the headstock.

That is documentation that the Fender copy production shifted to China in 2005 at least.

Thanks for the replies.
I assumed it wasn't an old model, which is fine as I intend to refinish it as the paint work is rubbish.
I will snap a few more pics and upload them as I disassemble the guitar.
It sounds good for a Chinese unit, it's not going to win beauty contests but heh!
