Hi,
I took a gamble and got this on ebay from Japan and from what the seller said it should be late 70s. The pots were replaced but they did include the originals as well (see picture) as the volume pots wiper broke/would rotate without stopping. From what I can tell it may be legit but a few things concern me:
-it has a serial 77607 (this appears to be different from the modern Chinese ones, it appears it may have been stamped prior to clear coating?)
-it seems in really good shape for the age
-there doesnt seem to be much online about lefties from this era, it may have been a custom job?

Things that make me think its legit
-The hardware all appears to be age appropriate
- Seems to be a two piece solid body
- The bridge and tail piece have "LP-S" and "LS Bridge" with Made In Japan.
- the tuners have the double ring and are branded Fernandes ESRG
- Not sure if thered be a market for bootleg lefty Gibson copies (I also couldnt find any others that match this specific one online)

Just wanted a second opinion, thanks for your time!

That seems to check out just fine. Here's an FSG with the serial on the back of the headstock (and no crown inlay on the front like yours):

Here's an FSG with a serial (or production number) in the neck PU cavity. Note the neck tenon:

They only show up in the 1977 catalog, the text seems to say the FSG-75 was available in both cherry and walnut but mentions better pickups and Grover tuners for the FSG-75, so yours might be an FSG-58. Certainly a find!

Oh cool thats a relief! Thanks! Got it all setup and playing nice now too and the truss rod works (which was a big concern buying online for vintage). Thanks for the help! :D
