Wow, I never thought this we be this hard to figure out. I have a big lighted magnifier on a stand but its not enough. I'm going to need to get it out in the daylight. But I'm leaning toward it being a real top. First off the seam lines are dead on. Would there be a process where they put the veneer on then cut the top? The problem is its such a light color and even the grain lines are really hard to see in the cavity and the top. I did get one pic where it looked like I could follow the lines. The best evidence I could find is it appears the flame goes into the cavity. One pic shows it better than the other. Different sides.
Overall quality of the guitar is what you would expect. The fret inlays are more white than my LS-214.
