I don't believe it is actually George's Lucy, the ad gives no detail, but seems to say that it is a 1956 Les Paul (a P90 Gold Top)
converted to a flamey top off centre seam with real 50's PAFs and finished in the same colour as George's one.

So a nice conversion.

George's LP was a 57 factory re-finished from gold to that red and since it was a GT the maple top was pretty much plain (almost no flame)
and it was two pieces joined high up on the upper part of the guitar (higher than where the join is on that one for sale).

Wow. I got really excited there. I love that Les Paul. The "While My Guitar Gently Weeps," LP. But I thought it looked a bit too flamey - even at a first glance.

There's a whole story with it. It got stolen and George had to buy it back from a guy in Mexico. I wonder what's happened to all of George's guitars since his death.
