Can't say for certain but I strongly suspect this one will be 1982, either 11=12 or 12=6, possibly even earlier.

Scrap this - just seen a block ST55 SO serial 16598. no codes but no doubt they'll be 6=7This appears to be the latest Block spotted to date, serial 16131 and 6=7 stamp = June 83.
There's another 6=7 SO L14447 matching head that had a replacement decal, I think that was prob block too originally.
This is my prized Baby! Bought from a guy in Co. Kildare (Ireland last year). 16131. A wonderful axe! This appears to be the latest Block spotted to date, serial 16131 and 6=7 stamp = June 83.

It's a beauty. Definitely one of the last ones with that decal. If you ever get round to lifting the pickguard, let us know the the three digit code on the side of the switch. Helps a bit more to get an accurate date for the guitar. This is my prized Baby! Bought from a guy in Co. Kildare (Ireland last year). 16131. A wonderful axe!

Thanks! That's May 83 which confirms the guitar must be June 83 and more than likely in the last shipment of block logo's to the UK along with 16598 above.
Hi ATO.....it's 351. (sorry but not a very clear photo). Here's another one. It's a beauty. Definitely one of the last ones with that decal. That's great Thanks!....I have 3 Strats an '81 2 Tone Springy, an '84 Goldstar and this Sonic Blue. The SB is the only one of the 3 that I wouldn't change the pickups on. They sound just amazing and round and scooped like Mr. H. Marvin's '57 Fender! The others had to have replacements as they just sounded very 'Splingy' and cheapish. Etc etc....FThanks!
