Speakers from old Wurlitzer organ?

Post by TSL » Wed Jun 06, 2007 8:18 pm

Hi, a friend just gave me a pair of 12" speakers from an old Wurlitzer. They have a small square magnet on the silver frame and have 1237-? stamped on the cone.

Any idea who made them?

Thanks.

A lot of the old Fane speakers had square magnets.

I would be almost certain that the square manet would indicate an alnico magnet , not sure whatbrand though .. Organs are VERY HARD ON SPEAKERS because of the sustain of the note .. as opposed to the decay of a guitar note
Ive pondered the creation of the universe,Ive explored the depths of human understanding i contemplate the purpose of existence, ... these things i know .... so why cant I get a gig that pays more than $75 a nite ???
