Woah this is getting interesting. Siblings for sure. Your neck appears to be a A stamp V profile. Probably nitro too. If it were C shape and not nitro, I'd start to think mine left the factory with the neck i bought it with! My guitar was modded in about 1984-85, dated because of that particular Floyd Rose. I always found it odd that someone in 84 would source a second Tokai Neck to mod and preserve the original St-100 neck. Especially if they were modding the body anyway. You'd think they'd just find any neck to mod. Maybe even a Fender Strat, you know, so they could pretend it was a real Fender. I bought my guitar from Goodwill. Yup crazy I know. But it was in the USA and finding spare Tokai necks in the USA in 1984-85 can't have been too easy. That ST100 is only 4 digits from my ST100.The body codes are the same and the neck not match with the body. Also no markings in the control cavity.View attachment 10611View attachment 10608View attachment 10609View attachment 10610
Indeed. The plan was to do a whole post about the journey of this guitar from the Goodwill Store floyd mod- back to original form, once finished. (Though I will probably never fill the Mini humbucker route.) Better Pics of when it arrived to me.So now I understand the journey you are on. Well worth it.
And the pickups you got with it probably offset the cost some?
The body is amazing even with the rout, and the neck works great on the bumble bee you put together.
Good job!
