Any opinions.....i mea, i am a big fan of les paul...Tokai especially but i was wondering what tokai would compare with the Gibson SUpreme http://www.gibson.com/Products/GibsonElectric/Gibson%20Electric%20Guitars/LesPaul/Supreme/
Has anybody tried this guitar.....
Thank you ....Andrew

No Tokai would compare, because the LP Supreme has a chambered body. Very light. Superb guitar, but a different sound to your regular Standards and Customs.

I like the Supreme look, so my LC had a few cosmetic changes to resemble it:

I have a Les Paul Supreme. There is no Tokai which would be similar. As BaggyPants says; it has a chambered body which gives it a sound that is somewhere between a Les Paul and a 335 type guitar. See here;

I've heard of problems with the finish on some Supremes but the one I have is finished beautifully and is lovely to play. I haven't played an LS1000 but I have an LS150 and the Supreme is undoudtedly finished better, although not by much. The LS150's neck is much fatter. Soundwise they are completely different with the Supreme having an almost semi-acoustic sound while the LS150 sounds more like you would expect from a Les Paul.
