At a very very quick glance I have noticed :

Ping Tuners ( Generic Cheapo Type
Sunburst finish covers the curves ( hiding a laminate body )
Generic cheapo bridge trying to copy modern day Fender item
Trem backplate screws seem reversed ?



If it was a Tokai, I would send it back to the factory and ask them to build the thing correctly.

It seems the unfair Tokais have arrived here too...I really dislike a lot this things as far as I?ve tried hard to make Tokai name associated to QUALITY here in Spain,and this makes a wrong impression to a buyer who will think I?m not telling the truth respecting Tokai brand.A lot of spanish people have contacted me asking about Tokai and I gladly always asked all the questions whatever it was repetitive,most of them are/were well intention people avid of knowledge, but some had an unfair intention(it?s a long story....).I?ve never asking money for this information as far as I promised to help in any way I was able, but it seems someone abused my confidence...I?m very sad because this.
I really hate unfair people and some kind of mannagement....I know bussiness is bussiness ,OK, but there would be some exceptions to this rule....

As I always say when I talk about Tokai,people must search for information BEFORE buying,it?s very easy.....just have to check google or another search"!,or being smart enough to compare pictures....
Me as a buyer, try to educate before buying something....whatever that it was.

If people buy online then we can only hope they find forums like this to be educated about the pitfalls of buying blind.

Outside of this, there is not much more anyone can do.

Just went though the feedback of the seller and came across this one:

Doesn't look real to me, and I had a few Black Beauties in my time. Just look at the tuners, serial# imprint and the missing custom-shop logo.

So there appears to be a pattern. What really takes me by surprise is that the seller has mainly positive feedback.

There Chinese Replicas.

There is a big market in them at present. Some are crap, while others are ......errr quite good, in fact some are made better then Gibsons....
