I recently bought a Tokai Talbo. As far as I know the serial number was a decal on the neck heel which is no longer there. Does anyone know how to date these guitars other than the serial number?
Its a four bolt neck (so not early to mid '80's), the alloy body is completely hollow apart from strengthening ribs in the casting. There is a shaped black foam lining which fills the body cavity, with cut outs around the pickups and pots etc. It has a two bolt trem and three black single coils. It was originally factory painted in metallic black, with black pick plate and back plate in 3 ply plastic.
The truss rod adjustment is at the neck heel.
Any ideas??
