Greco PU-2 black bobbins - close as you'll get to a DRY-Z at a fraction of the price! Very nice in bridge or neck positions. Looks like one of the legs has been modified, possibly used to be in a 335, but fits a normal pickup cavity just fine, and obviously you can't see this when it's in the guitar.

Surely a Marshall owner doesn't need an overdrive pedal?

There's Marshalls and Marshalls, a JTM45 is one of the cleanest, sparkliest amps you're ever likely to play, very Fender-like. On max volume it breaks up in a very AC-DC or Freee sort of way, but it's not a high-gain amp by any means.

Then you've never witnessed the great sound you get with a boosted Marshall ;)

And I don't intend to. I don't ever recall turning up to see a band, and then hearing a great sound come from a Marshall. If I see a Marshall on stage, I just know that the guy is going to play too loud, play too much, and get a poor tone (that should wind a few people up! )

Gary Moore uses a Marshall - what more do I need to say?

Stratman

Have you ever owned a Marshall of any description? Have you ever played through a JTM45? Do you wear a dress?

John,

Predictable......

I've never driven my car into a brick wall, but I think I know it's not something I would enjoy. I've seen the results when others have tried it.
