80 Springy with home made scallop job (and replaced dot markers with abalone too?)[/img]

Malmsteen had a lot to answer for long before that poor Springy got butchered!

No offence to anyone who likes that kind of fretboard, but that is so *****, why, why, why? (IMO)

Good thing is that it can be fixed, although you'll need to get the guitar for fifty quid to make it worthwhile. :(

I've had a scalloped (no name/Allparts) Strat in the past and it was quite fun - but what gets me on this one is the final fret, which doesn't need to be scalloped anyway, but here has been done in a half-way house to still leave the stamped fretboard end. Sheesh! :)

What a shame about that springy, how easy are these scalloped neck guitars to play?,what are they like to play?
Do you have to adjust you playing style and grip, pressure, does it make your technique sloppy or vice versa.

Never seen one in the flesh before :(
