Thank you all for your kind and professional answers regarding my question about the LS-60.
I am getting much more excited to receive the guitar from day to day.

Most answers about the pickups are that they aren`t the best choice for this great guitar. So I am looking for some others.

If the original Gotohs doesn`t satisfy my needs, I will buy the AGL Angus-B with Alnico 3.

Here you can see them & there are sound clips on you tube!

Great Pickup !!!

Yesterday the Tokai arrived.
I cleaned it, new strings and: FIRE !!!

Sounds and plays great. Comes close to the "old" Les Paul Sound on neck PU. The bridge PU sounds a lot smaller, less punch & bass, little "strat" like. Not bad, but not that what I expect from this weapon.

Differences to my Gibson Gary Moore Signature:

Tokai:
lightweight
quick response
quick tilk over to the harmonics : very nice!
alu tailpiece

less bass
more "stratesk"
not the best potis
tuners not soooo exact

I think i will tune it and then it will fit my needs. More bass & balls should be done by a good bridge pickup. ( She also needs some new frets in the near future... )

Very, very good guitar for the money! I am happy.

You know, in the final analysis, that's really all that matters. If it does what you want it to, and satisfies you.. Enjoy the ride, leave chasing the next wave to someone else.

Enjoy.

LS60 is a better built gtr than any stock gibson other than maybe an historic

I don't know...

Tokai has:
-poly finish
-multi piece back
-no fret edge binding
-circuit board electronics

All of those are inferior spec to the standard Gibson line. LS60 can be very nice and feel like a good guitar, but it is lacking in some ways.

Gibson has.....**** neck joint
mass produced
overinflated prices
circuit board electronics are NOT inferior just different.
Most guys i know who play prefer no fret edge binding and it does nothing to the sound of the guitar so its only cosmetic.
