Nice enough examples, but bidding seems crazy to me  .

Yep strat with blue headstock is neat looking guitar, although mid 80?s Goldstars sell every week for half that price ? not knocking the sellers, they?ll be happy with those prices & good luck to them, ? just wonder about the wisdom of the bidding (shakyboys buys/sells lots of stuff, so should know what he?s doing) :-? .

Pretty steep indeed, though I must say I feel there's a trend developing over the last two years that has seen Tokais getting more and more expensive, especially the older ones.

Before you know it, they'll be more desirable than Gibsons ;)

That blue Goldstar is currently $860 with 10hours to go ? the 82 LS50 Love Rock from mackelchea ("ochay") went for $880. Here?s a few others just ended (unsold ST60 looked at bargain at BIN $648) ?

1981 ST50 Springy $975 (Guitars101)
1980 ST80 Springy $1075 (Davidlevitsky1)
ST60 Springy $480 bid? Reserve not Met (resv=$648)
