Thanks Homer J and Sigmania for the advice and identification of this Pearl Les paul.
Really Appreciate the research in all things Pearl Guitars and both of you for advising not to strip the guitar back to bare timbers. Really appreciate it. Legendary Stuff !

I've got one of those!

Do you know for sure that it was Matsumoko made,as Pearls dont figure prominantly on the guitar gallery site and I can't see "?Pearl" listed as a definite Matsumoko brand.

How do you find the guitar? I absolutely adore mine, and feel it pretty much equals my Gibsons and Edwards in terms of quality.

Mine has led a harder life than yours by the looks of it, but I am never letting this one go.

Hello, i received mine today.
An SG with tremolo
I dont know the timeline, but if it's like Ibanez, with the angled fretboard, it's 1973 or before.

Not sure what you mean by "angled fretboard"? The Maxon pickups date to December 1975, the pot codes seem to be 751 which could mean early May 1977, both could've been transplanted from another guitar tho.
