Lets discuss guitar photography, tips, tricks and some nice pics!!

Two things: crop/frame the pic so it shows (mostly) the guitar(s) and an old couch in the den downstairs is about all you need...., well I guess you need some guitars too.....

Hi, nice thread and great pics.

Most are very descriptive and show fine details etc and are what most guitarists love to see because...we love guitars.

Here are two pics I took that I wanted to just try and show the essence (for want of a better word!) of my guitars.
The first is my Breezy sound (I have a thread up about it at the moment-its the one with the duff neck
 ). I put this on a web photo library and it was bought by a UK greeting card company :D .
The second one was taken on much the same lines, basically lying it a dark cloth and lighting it with a simple bedside light to try and give a warm glow/atmosphere. A very simple arrangement.

Its just my attempt and another way of trying to show the beauty of guitars.

Ps. I bought the LP copy a few months ago trying to console myself while my Tokai is out of action. Must say, I'm gobsmacked at the quality and playability of it-and for just a tad over a hundred quid. Anyone care to guess what make?

Innadaze, you won't win any photography competitions with those, but you got me drooling!!

Slopic 2 - very nice pics - a Chinese Burny??

Slopic 2,
The pic on the left...now that's photography. You captured the mood. Nice use of shallow depth of field. If your happy with the colors the WB white balance adjusted for the type of light used would have corrected it. Good as is. That's art.

John A, thanks for comments and Toker, shots are both on film-slides and I was happy with the warm incandescent lighting, thought it made them a bit moody.
the LP is a Rally, made in China. Mahogany body and set neck. Pickups sound fine (to me), I'm very pleased with it.

It looks a lot like a Chinese Burny, quite possibly out of the same factory. The Burny's are selling on ebay UK for ?329 and worth every penny, so if you got the equivalent for ?100 you got a bargain!!

Retro 60's vibe. Where's the lava lamp?
