Hi,
Just wondering if anyone had any opinions on the model/originality of this black/white bound Breezysound that just sold on ebay.

To me it looked like a possible TE-70 (bound body) from 1982. At first glance it appears to have a bunch of non-original parts (unstamped bridge, unstamped tuners, unfamiliar looking pickups). However, looking at Rupert's recently sold TE150 there seem to be a couple of similarities between the two guitars.

The shape of the bridge saddles (and lack of Tokai stamp) seems the same. Also the tuners on Rupert's guitar had no Tokai or Deluxe stamp, same as this one. However, where Rupert's guitar had no serial on the neck plate, this one has a typical L-prefixed number, with a mismatched (chrome) finish from the rest of the hardware (gold). The ferrules (is that what they're called?) that the tuners (and strings) go through, don't seem to have gold finish on them, although that could have worn off. Also, the input jack cup is finished in chrome as well. The tone control assembly looks solidly Tokai from the outside. Either the chrome parts, or the gold parts are not original--which is it?
Also, I'm wondering if anyone can identify the make of these pickups. Tokai used Dimarzios in many of their higher end guitars--by any chance is that what these are?
Thanks!
Chris
