A friend of mine has a LS-80 and when we opened it up we discovered the circuit board in the pot pocket.
Does anybody know the meaning of this board? I mean a guitar circuit it's something extremely simple: pickups, capacitors, pots, switch and nothing else. The electricity gets in the pups and make them to work.
I thought that if I'd remove the board in the Tokai to make a normal circuit it'd work as well.

AFAIK ...

* it's easy to assemble all electronics on the board and solder them before putting them into a guitar
* the board has the "ground function"

So - if you want to replace it you'll have to look for another area where to ground the electronics ... I would keep it - if I were you ...

Did that job on my Gibbo but left the board and used it according its purpose ... no complaints on tone, no hum or feedback ...
