Canora Guitars - MIJ or not?

i just picked up a CANORA strat copy... don't know anything about these guitars except that they may have been made in japan and labelled "Canora" exclusively for the Australian market.

Any history on these guitars will be much appreciated

Sadly NONE of my resources yielded ANY info on Canora.
General concensus of Canora owners is that it was a

shitbox

.
Other than that that i could find nothing to say where they originated from...they're not anything glamourous like Matsumoku or Fuji gen and I can't find any japanese factory that will admit to making them...lol...so...sorry but nothing.
