 What is happening to the "Auctions" on E bay? They are being used like a store , one where there is no negotiation just the retail price. Is'nt the idea to set a reserve and let the bidding begin? The Tokais from Mikes Music have an opening price $10 less than the Buy It Now. This is'nt an auction, it's retail. :x Play the game or keep this kind of stuff where it belongs in a catalog or at the store. If Musicians Friend or Guitar center start doing buisness this waycan you imagine how much crap you'll have to wade thru to find a true auction? :-? What do you guys think about this practice? TG

Well, like TG say's, it sucks big time. The amount of times I see something of interest on eBay, generally they seem to only have a "Buy It Now" button, at just under retail (then you pay an exhorbitant postage charge).

Whatever happened to the "spirit" of eBay, where someone puts a reserve on an item (which costs a % of the sale price), then puts a low start price. I guess shops will be around a bit longer, they're just moving into the digital realm.
