I was a little blown away by that comment too...

C'mon guys - I get sick of all the "Jap" mentions, as well. Did I miss something? Is it still 1941?

Jim

I thoroughly agree with Jim. 1939-45 is history. Let's be civilised to each other. There are correct titles to describe nationality. Let's use them.

As far as this is forum is multi-cultural and multi-ratial we must be cautelous about our expresions.I hate the word "jap" to talk about japanese people, as they don't like it at all,and the same calling them "chinese"(putting them in the same boat as their not loved country).

So guys, let's everybody make it easy if you don't mind......

Hans, very interesting the pic I remeber that guitar advertised anywhere befor going to ebay. This confirm about 80's inked theory....

In my opinion, there are far too few Japanese contributors to this forum.

Are there any?

Just one would certaintly be helpful in translating catalogs, etc ...

Considering that Tokai is mostly intended for the Japan Market, where are the Japanese Tokai owners and lovers?

orvilleowner, I agree. This would help to avoid and reduce unnecessary postings. See also this thread:

Yes, I'm glad that Mr. Adachi cleared up this question, although he didn't remember when exactly these inked serial numbers were used. I haven't seen a picture of an inked "11..." meaning 1981 though like the main site mentions it.

By the way, I don't understand what the problem of that smart *** really is, that he can't figure out the few lines in German at the top of the Ebay page?

I'm from the U.S. and I'd sure hope that nobody would call me a "Republican." :D
