For anybody, who looks for this lady.I think the discription is wrong.
This is a LS100SOR not a '59replica, its a '57.
There is no maplecap, this one is made from a single piece of mahagoni.

So, how do we know that it has a mahogany cap? I see the one pickup routing opened but I don't think I could confirm it from that photo.

Also, the reference to flamed maple is obviously wrong.

I think I'll call Billy again and confirm these items. :p

I have the same one, maybe its better to see in this pic.

It would be pretty daft to cover flamed maple with a solid colour, wouldn't it?

A gold-top has a maple cap, probably quite a plain one though, as you say it would be silly to paint a flame-top

Not all Goldtops have maplecaps, this LS100 is a replica of a rare '57 goldtop
with a one piece mahagoniebody and Tokai made them in 3 different coulors
GT,ON,OR.
You can all read here.'57Goldtop the last two phrases.

And yes its where are shame,to cover the beauty of the wood with paint.

:p

Yes, strangley enough there were some all mahogany standards from what I have read.

These custom color Tokais seem to do poorly on price, don't they? Maybe the ZZ Top connection on this one will help.

Good to see Cropper showing up Walsh, both in playing and tone. Not sure his taste in shirts is a vast improvemnet though.
