I had a photo flamed Orville. Long neck tenon, cool dings all over it, great neck - It sounded FREAKIN HUGE and I stupidly sold it.

Will an LC-85 have a similiar neck to my ES-120? Its the perfect neck for me, and I'm thinking an LP Custom is pretty darn cool looking..

Dont know about the trussrod cover - I just left it as is. Pickups were usable, but I swapped em to Duncans anyway. I'd play it for a while before you decide to switch em!

I've had all the guitars you've mentioned there. I had a PRS Santana III with a ten top - it was a step above my friends McArty in terms of fit and finish. The best constructed guitar I've ever seen quite easily. But I sold it because it had no 'mojo' as you put it. I would definitely go towards...

Not sure about those pickups mods, but stripping the paint off a guitar really does work. I have a Strat with a stripped finish, and a light oil coat rubbed onto it. It resonates likes a monster, has a hell of a lot more tone than the 2004 Deluxe I had, and just last week I had the chance to put...

I'm not sure whether its 50's or 60's, but I can tell you it is a GREAT neck. It is bigger than the neck on my old Epi LP, around the same as the one on my old Orville LP, and much smaller than the neck on my PRS Santana III. Buy one, you wont regret it! I play mine a lot more than my $4000 PRS!
