    Pickguard for LS1

Well, my specs differ...thus my questions. I checked my serial number again, it's a 2011.

    Pickguard for LS1

Got the pickguard from Gottfried. Anybody know the exact specs of a LS1-R9 from 2010? Did those already have CTS pots? Mine has Alphas... other specs: solid flame maple top, 1-piece body, fret-edge-binding, no pick guard/ holes from factory, no open book headstock. No version number to see...

    Pickguard for LS1

Hi! Can I buy a pick guard for my LS1-R9 anywhere (came without one, even has no holes yet)? I tried a Gibson Historic one, but that doesn't fit right... Germany/Europe preferred. Thanx, Peter

    WTB: Early 80s Love Rock

I LOVE them. They need no polishing, they last forever and feel fantastic for bending (and in general). YMMV.

    WTB: Early 80s Love Rock

I may have a '81 LS120 for sale when the price is right... Very good condition, changed tuners and caps (originals still there), refret with 6150 stainless steel (by master luthier Joerg Tandler) last year. Original case.

FS: 1980 Tokai LS-80 Reborn Old with Dry Zs - NO LONGER FS

Yes, looks fishy to me, too. And too expensive.

Why are "DRy Z's" held in such high regard?

    Is it legit at all...?

Why are "DRy Z's" held in such high regard?

Maybe mine came out of an 1800 and were custom ordered with the PG mod? Just speculating, they look absolutely untouched... I think I'll use them like they are, the middle position is SOOO versatile, just got to get used to it...

Why are "DRy Z's" held in such high regard?

I checked again. The magnets are oriented the same way on both PUPS (N on the screw side), so it seems one is wired reverse or the braided wire is installed out of phase...

Why are "DRy Z's" held in such high regard?

Did some sets of DRY-Zs come out-of-phase from the factory? My set is, and it looks original and untouched... Can anybody with Zs check polarity for me? N or S up? Thanx!

Why are "DRy Z's" held in such high regard?

Are the Dry-Zs different neck and bridge? Or do I just put the hotter one at the bridge? Thanx,

    Extend braided wire?

Hi! I just got two Dry-Z PUPs, but the wire from the neck PUP ist too short for my '81 LS120 (AFAIR Greco had the routing different?). How do I best extend the wire? Solder a piece of shielded wire on it and use heat shrink tubing on the connection? Thanx,

    EGF-1800 on yahoo jp

Interestingly Jacaranda is NOT Brazilian Rosewood (and not under CITES?), Dalbergia Nigra is.

rare 1980 Tokai LS-120 Reborn Old Les Paul, nitro, brazilian

Are you sure the 65 SG has a Braz board? AFAIK Gibson did not use Braz from 61 on... My luthier tells me Braz has a lot high end sizzle and less mids than Indian. But also not every Braz is alike...

rare 1980 Tokai LS-120 Reborn Old Les Paul, nitro, brazilian

I have not seen a Tokai with Brazilian RW yet. My 81 LS120 was said to have it, but it doesn't.

    EGF1200~

I'm not used to those Yahoo auctions.. is there really nobody bidding on the 1200 and 1800? They're still at 90000 and 180000 3 hours before auction end?

    Pickups in YOUR Tokai's?

Original DiMarzios in my '81 LS120 until I get the Dry-Zs I bought today. I like the DiMarzios, but they squeal a bit, we'll see how the Zs sound... At the moment Amber Classic Rock in my LS3, not totally satisfied with them, got some Shed PAF Daddys coming... The original Faber PAF Vintage are...
