    LS model question

Could also be an LS125,(now LS140) they have amber cell inlays and no pickguard installed when stock, if it has a two piece back it's an LS125  Bridge pickup cavity might also have the model number in it.

Just yesterday I installed a set of Wilkinson WVHZ series Zebra puckups in my ALS43 (same as ALS48). I picked them up on Ebay for AU$45.00 plus $9.00 postage still cheap for a set of pickups, like you the MK4 stock pickups in mine where crappy sounding I think its because they measure around...

    LS420 & LS540

Can anyone explain why there is such a big price difference between the LS420 & LS540 ( around AU$1500 ) when the only difference in them is the pickups and the trussrod cover (going by the specs and pics from the latest catalogue) :-?

    tokai goldstar without serial number?!?

I might just be a suspicious person but it looks to me like he is deliberately covering the neck plate with the strap, and if you look close it looks like part of the last digit of the s/n showing or maybe a logo :-?
