1987 Fujigen Gakki Japan made Greco EG68-70 in a lovely cherry red finish.
Rare color as this model typically came in black or tobacco burst. I've trolled the web
for many years and have only seen a couple in red, as well as blue and amber.
Likely a limited run or order made piece.
Features...
Exceptionally fine example from the golden age of Japan Vintage guitar craft..
made of old growth mahogany with full thickness carved maple top.
Fujigen-Gakki made Greco EG57-50 model. Upgraded with Dimarzio Norton
humbucker set and recent professional refret with Dunlop 6100 "tall jumbo" frets...
Subject header says most of it. Years ago (I thought) I spotted a MIJ Burny LP w/ a Floyd Rose trem and maybe even the factory Fernandes Sustainer with the dual toggles. Anyone know when/if these were made? Hoping to locate 1-2 if so.
I have been using Rinkya for around 4 years now and have acquired some fantastic Greco Mint Collection models.. mainly LP's, SG's, Explorers and such. I've probably done over a dozen Rinkya transactions. Never had a problem until yesterday. Purchased a minty clean '88 "61 SG" replica. YJ auction...
I'm considering buying a Greco from an individual in the UK.
I am in the US. Any recommendations on best reliable shipping
carrier that won't break the bank?
1984 Greco JS-65 "John Sykes LP Custom" replica in nice shape in a lovely black finish. Fujigen Gakki built, Mint Collection Series LP with the desirable long neck tenon. A near dead ringer for the LP so famously used in Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake, and Blue Murder.
Greco DRY humbuckers (highly...
Pretty much the total package if you are in the market for an Explorer. Way more "historically accurate" than the so called *lawsuit* models of
the mid 70's. Typical 80's Fujigen gakki high quality guitar craft. Looks fantastic, plays beautifully, very resonant. Chimey cleans and superb thick...
I just picked up a Greco "58 Explorer" Mint Collection replica from 1989.
All specs pretty much faithful to the 50's specs. I know the originals were made from korina wood. Any idea if Greco used korina in these. See pic below. In person the guitar looks like it might be mahogany with some...
Wondering if anyone has any firsthand experience with these,
In particular the E-CY-128DT 6 string and E-CY-108D7 7 string.
Ishibashi and others sell these, and they seem way nicer than
the typical MIK Ibanez or LTD stuff at similar price points.
Pics below.
Subject header tells most of the story. Looking for a Mint Colection era Greco '61-'63 style SG, w/ Maestro style vibrola tailpiece. White or cherry red, humbuckers, kluson style tuners, inked serial number, etc.

Some of you know me from around here. I have a thing for Greco Gibson replicas, especially the Mint Collection era Lesters. I have bought and sold a number of Grecos over the last few years, and sold a few on e-bay. I was combing through the offerings today and ran across this...
(2) Greco EG59 humbuckers- very nice shape, double black bobbins w/ black mounting rings. Pulls from an '89 EG59-70, could be unmarked Double Tricks but who knows? Typical Gotoh PAF appearance, definitely hotter than Screamin 82's, braided metal full length leads. $50 for the pair, includes USA...

Seems like this could be 1991 based on the 1 6129 serial #.
I've owned a few 89 Mint Collection models with 9 5xxx
serials, so you can see my logic here. Thoughts?
Three pretty nice ones on the bay..
