I have ordered a new set of pickups for my 2007 LS230 and I was wondering how much I can ask for the Tokai pickups I am taking out. Any ideas? I will put them up for sale as soon as my new pickups come. Thanks guys!

The tuners you have are probably gotoh and they make a direct replacement that are locking the SD90MG I think that is what they are called. Pickups are very subjective you will have to read up a lot and make a decision based on how much money you want to spend.
This was a non issue up to a while ago! Tokai has just starting making these as far as I can tell! I had never seen a white LC 195. So is this a limited run? I need to save up fast or sell something to buy this!
I believe that what Diamond is trying to say is that higher end Tokai models are similar in specs if not better than Gibson reissue guitars which are very expensive! I have a LS230 which is a total killer guitar looks wise and sound!
I would assume that they get their wood from Africa as far as fretboard material is concerned. I remember seeing a video from Taylor guitars that says they own the ebony coming from Africa and that is the last place on the planet to legally obtain ebony. Rosewood is probably from Madagascar...
Thanks. I always thought they were more vintage voiced and that the read on the bridge would be much lower. I always thought the neck pickup was great and that the bridge had a little too much bite even on the clean sounds. It makes sense more now.
I brought my LS230 in to get a setup and after reading my pickups the Luthier said my neck was at 7.6 and the bridge was at the 11 mark. Is this normal or has someone changed the pickups? They should be the normal MK II right?
