late '80 is a good era?

I want to buy this Burny Super Grade, the owner tells me it's the '81 .... I do not know how to identify, but, I know that the tuner machine with double rings is from '81 but the truss-rod cover with wings is from '88/89... so I dont understand.. can you help me??

hey Dave thanx!! I expect the Gibson pickups 490/498 arrived.. I made '50 wiring and maybe change the capacitors with two old paper / oil .. I also replace the tune-o-matic bridge because the original Greco has the holes are wide and moves in studs..

This does not have chambered bodies, has a mahogany pancake body, 2 piece maple top, 3 piece maple neck, rosewood fretboard... the sound is good, I wanted to make it better .. I was thinking of replacing the bridge with a Gibson original (Nashville)

Hi, I have Greco EG-500 from 1978... where it was produced?? Matsumoko? Fuji-Gen Gakki..? and why those born before 1980 are considered not very good? and theres the difference between EG-500 and EG-700? only pickups? (U-1000 EG-500 and U-2000 EG-700) thanx

I understand! if you want the Greco I'll sell it... deemed to have corrected the frets and settled the electronics .... welds were made so outrageous and condenser were grounded .. real s**t.. (luckily the seller was a repairman for amplifiers and computers ... mah..) I play with GONZALES ...

I think this guitar will sell soon .... is good but I do not like the maple neck .. I also sell my Gibson Flying V and will buy a Les Paul Standard or Classic from the 90s PS: con chi suoni??

..after some days.. this Greco sounds good!!:dude: ok, she has a maple neck ... and I love much better in mahogany .... the frets are consumed ... must consider whether to replace them, or sell this Pauline old like me ...changing the frets could still improve the sound.... I mounted the bridge...

Hi Cisca.... I'm from Veneto.. like you.. ahaha!! I bought this Greco some days ago... I documented and I've seen is a EG-500 and not 700 .... The difference is in the pickups .. EG-500 has pickup U-1000 EG-700 U-2000 to recognize just look at the first number of code ... pickup code is 180710 1...

...brought her to my house.... but perhaps far too by Original LP... maple neck (3 pieces)... solid mahogany body.. But they sound very high frequencies and those little low... not as disgusting as Aria Pro II ... but unconvincing ... Tomorrow I'll try to change strings, pickups but I do not...
