Not sure if anyone's replying to the post but I have an early 1978 tokai st60 serial 8000946 and it fits the same description as above exactly!! ;-) So all good :lol: been trying to find another Tokai with a similar serial to compare notes..

I have a 1978 Tokai st60 and the routing shape of the control cavity and input jack is consistant with those pictures, it doesn't have the two holes either side of each pickup in the cavity, I think the early Springy sounds do have slight differences from my current research but I'm no expert on...

It's quite amazing that Tokai is now fetching more than some early JV's.. They must be really good to beat the major player at their own game or we are now seriously over rating MIJ guitars.. but then again it's the closest that most of us can afford to the real thing maybe in the future we...

It's mentioned in the advert that they are vintage nickel. Nickel can turn that colour but not sure if Tokai's have nothing, Deluxe or Tokai on the back of the tuners. Cheers Darryn :roll:
