Hello there,

I found what I think to be a beautifull MIJ black Tokai SG.
I know it's a "Made in Japan" and serial on the head is 0920815 (engraved).

At least, maybe someone can enlight me on what are the SG Tokai made in japan ?
does it start at 75, 80, 100,124, 136, etc ?

Sounds like a 2009 SG85 BB since it’s MIJ and black.

Do you have any opinion on that SG85 model ?
Does it compare to a SG124 or aSG128 ?
 
Looks like between that SG85 and the SG124, they are just different time periods and reflect the price increase and materials available?

The only SG128 I see is a lefty. That price is so similar to the SG124 that it has to be a similar if not the same guitar with some slight difference in features, maybe just the left hand thing?

I'm sure the SG85 was African mahogany too. If they don't specify the type of mahogany, you can assume it is African. The much more expensive versions specify Honduran mahogany.
