The resale thing never works well for me, I always end up wanting to keep them. The springy would end up being another keeper I'm sure.

I was looking for a good strat type guitar a while back for band use and ended up modifying my 1984 Ibanez RS135 with minihumbuckers and push/push pots. Now I have humbucker and strat tones with coil split and phase settings and a good feeling 22 fret neck. Very versatile and more than good enough for a guitar hack like me. It even stays in tune after moderate trem dives. A good all around beater for sure.
