This one is a head scratcher.

It is a Tokai Custom Edition guitar, so it would date to around the period that the Fender style serial numbers ended, but it has a 4 digit Fender style number that is very low.

Ordinarily this would have been an early 1982 serial number used on a guitar with a maple '54 V neck, so this seems very odd.
