In addition. the pickup names were TE-A type/TE-B tvpe. but were renamed to TE Vintage/ TE Hot.

Models with specifications from the 1950s were classified as "vintage" and models with specifications from the 1960s were classified as "oldies," taking the accuracy of each clone one step further. Following this, the TE Series was divided into "vintage" models with one-piece maple necks and "oldies" models with rosewood fingerboards

Furthermore. in the following year, 1982, the TE series went beyond the vintage/oldie series to the point where it was divided into more detailed age groups. This is a part where you can see the attention to detail that is typical of Tokai, which is known as the Replica King. Let's summarize the models categorized by age group below.

"TE80" 1948 MODEL
Originally, the "TE-80" was positioned at the core of the lineup, but the parts relationship was significantly refined and the model was renamed "1948 MODEL" (a remnant of the Telecaster's 1948 origin theory. The refined part is the tailpiece (the conventional tailpiece had the bridge/saddle adjustment screw removed).

Previously, only the part to be attached was bent. but this was changed to a type with folds on three sides like the type with a
cover. Bridge saddle (changed Irom the previous 6 saddle type to 3 saddle type), vertical adjustment (the groove on the screw head was changed fro a plus shape to a minus shape), a pickguard (made of resin, still one piece. but now made of Bakelite material). and a color ring (BL/GS/N).

A total of 6 colors (BB/MR/MB) are available.

"TE70"/"TE55N" 1958 MODEL
"TE-70" maple 1-piece neck V. The two models, John and TE-55N became 1958 MODEL and belonged to the "vintage" category. However even within the same "vintage group", there are bridge saddles ("TE-70" = 3 saddle type/"TE-55N" = 6 saddle types) and body configurations ("TE-70" = 6 saddle types) between the two models. Differences were found between Alder 2-piece & Cell Binding/"TE-55N" = Alder 3-piece).

"TE70"/"TE50" 1964 MODEL
The rosewood fingerboard model of "TE-70"/"TE-50" was transferred to 1964 MODEL and placed on the "oldie" side. The specifications of the "TE-50" were basically the same as the "TE-55", only the fingerboard was different.

"TE-200RR"
"TE-200RR" is an all-rosewood Telecaster model produced in 1969 and 1971. This model is a combination of rosewood and
The body has a maple sandwiched between the edges and the neck is a single piece of rosewood. Also, since it was a made to order product, special old parts were available. which were different from the standard lineup. These parts were made to order, just like the main body, and were made with careful attention to materials.

Lets list these models again...
"TE-80" 1948 MODEL
"TE-70" / "TE-55N" 1958 MODEL
"TE-70"/ "TE-50" 1964 MODEL
"TE-200RR" 1969 or 1971 MODEL...

It's clear that they paid close attention to each year. Furthermore, the "TE" series also included the "TE-120." which had Mexican Abalone binding applied to the outer circumference of the bodv. This model was basically based on the rosewood fingerboard model of the TE-70, but the wood material was specified for higher-end models.

The "TE" series continued with these final lineups until 1983, but in March of the same year it transitioned to the TTE" series, completing its mission in about four years. Il can be said that the slyle of "TE", which focused on practicality while increasing the degree of replication, was full of the charm typical of Tokai, which pursued both precision and functional beauly.

Transition to "TTE" series

Tokai has added a "T" to the beginning of all replica models since April 1983 in response to this the "TE" series was transitioned to the "TTE series with the specifications unchanged. Essentially only the logo design was changed from the previous logo, which resembled a Fender was replaced by a new type (the so-called T logo'") that was easilv readable as Tokai.

The lineup has been changed to:
"TTE-200"/"TTE-80"/"TTE-70"/"TTE-55"/ "TTE-50", and also "TTE-150"/"TTE-60". was added

The "TTE-150" is equipped with a string bender and is completely made to order. a specification made possible by Tokai's exclusive patent agreement for the string bender.

"TTE-60" is a cost performance version of the "TTE-200", and its material was different from "TTE-200 In addition the "TTE-60TM" (available in two colors wine red and naturall with a tortoiseshell mahogany top wrapped in cell binding will be available in December 1983 with a limited edition to 200 pieces. It has been announced.

In 1984 the "TE" series further expanded with the addition of the Belize version of the "TE-70" but since then Tokai has used new materials such as TALBO with an aluminum body and MAT with a carbon material. Due to the tocus on original products. the lineup of the"TTE" series was gradually reduced, and production ended in the late 1980s.

Thanks! Yours is still the oldest one I have seen.

SN 8003857

Does your Breezy have production stamps? I would assume it was made near the end of the year.

SN 8003061 was made in September 9=42. An ST80.
