I don’t think that’s an SS60

SS60 does not have the truss rod adjustment at the headstock.

Also SS60 would have a 4 bolt neck.

Would you venture a guess as to what the model is? I can always contact the seller if you have updated info to correct his posting.

Looks like the model changed dramatically from 1981 to 1982.

So maybe it is an SS60.

Interestingly the SS60 was not offered in this color, metallic red (MR) in the 1981 catalog.

This is probably a guitar made closer to the end of the year and before the change of the model I would bet.

Looooots of stuff changed at the end of 1981. Kind of a revolution in guitar making at Tokai with consequences for the whole indiustry.

Just noticed this, the 7 digit SS60 serial numbers on neck plates are right around this serial number.

I think this is one right at the transition as I said.
