A VERY underrated guitar Joe....and as cheap as dirt here in Australia.
The newest version has Duncan Designed pickups...I just got rid of my Blackie Squier strat so I might just pick up one of these...decent pickup and away we go :p

8) i know it was kinda unpopular coz its squire and a bit strange.
but it looks nice and making a cool thing i think. i like it a lot.
where is the new model of this oze? can you give me the link?

8) the similar concept fender japan guitar here. only for a while
they made. a pretty good varietion i thought......

I can still buy the newer series from a retailer here in my home town who has surplus stock.
I'll check with him this week to see how many(if any) he has left Joe.
Like I said...they're the same guitar just with Duncan designed pickups. 8)

The new Classic Vibe Squiers are amazing! The CV Tele is just as good as any mid range Fender. I was going to buy a CIJ Bound Edge Tele until I tried the Squier and decided it would be a waste of money.

The worst possible combination! You lose the gorgeous Tele bridge pickup, but you keep that strange sounding Tele neck pickup.

And what had the guy been taking when he designed that scratchplate?

Oh well, each to their own I guess. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, & all that!

8) a little bit too negative sometimes huh........
only as a good fender varietion mike.........
all the details on this gtr coming from the great fenders.
anyways, its ok coz just a matter of taste.. of everyone.

fender japan sometimes makes gtrs like this maybe only
for the japan market only so keep checkin the japa shops
or the japa catalog then you can get them if you want....

still think its a cool fender varietion.......j

It's rare to see Fender Japan stuff in London, & the guitars that do turn up in shops seem to be a fairly random selection. I get the impression that Fender don't want the Japanese stuff on sale here - I wonder why?

For some reason, the bound body 62RI Teles are one of the few models that do make it to the UK. I bought one new in 1989, & they still turn up in shops now and again - maybe it's because there wasn't a US equivalent model till about 1999?

Negative about that guitar? Maybe, I am a bit of a traditionalist I suppose. It's not what I would choose.
