Just to clarify:

A Tokai 330 is a copy of a Rickenbacker 330. It is manufactured by Tokai, and says Tokai on the headstock, so is therefore not a fake.

A Chinese-produced 330 is a copy of a Rickenbacker 330. It is not manufactured by Tokai, yet it says Tokai on the headstock, so is therefore a fake.

In what way is it "basically a Tokai"? Because I suspect you're comparing apples with oranges.
