Is it yellow or Olympic white? It sure looks yellow. Yellow under the pick guard?

Again, amazing guitar. I have a ‘79 ST100 with a flamed neck and the nickel instead of gold hardware. Amazing guitars.

I just went by my local Fender dealer which I hadn’t done in years. Only one of their Fender guitars was made in America, as in one individual guitar in the whole store (I’m in the US). The majority were made in Mexico, the rest Indonesia. I asked about the wood because the necks almost looked white. He assured me they were maple. Some of the bodies were made of poplar, and some fret boards were made of “Indian laurel”. And they were lucky to have those available with the worldwide supply problems. Sobering reminder of how special these vintage MIJ Tokais are and where the prices for them are sure to go.
