Dear Tokai-lovers,
I recently obtained a second (or third) hand Lefty Tokai Goldstar Sound and I would like to know what model it is and maybe even when it was produced, although from what I read on this and other fora this might be tricky!
I will try to upload some pictures as wel.
This is what I know:
-It was last obtained from a guitar shop in The Haghe in holland called "Carvin Music Store" some 10 years ago. The shop had already gone bankrupt by that time I believe. I don't know if it was new then.
-The colour is black
-Rosewood fingerboard (not the very thin one)
-3-ply 11 screws white scratch plate.
-The true Fender Strat headstock, not the spaghetti logo
-Kluson type tuners with nothing stamped on (they look aged)
-Bridge saddles with "final prospect" stamped on (look aged)
-Made in Japan sticker on the back of the neck
-No trustrod hole on the top of the neck
-Serial number 017304 on the neck plate.
- 8-18 stamped on the heel of the neck and in the cavity of the neck PU (not 8=18)
-PU's with staggered poles, black backs and nothing stamped on there.
-Rectangular fiveway switch with YM-50 stickered on it.
-Made in Japan on the pot's
I hope anyone here can help me out with this one. I got rather confused myself gathering all the info there is on the web!!
