It looks like the pots were replaced.
Here are others with similar serial number type.

The model looks like the AJB LTD. Color is metallic blue, so AJB-LTD MBR.

The pots… I was told that are now low pass and high pass filters.

You are welcome. It is assumed that these were made in Japan.
I don’t see Korean serial numbers until 1995.
Your bass was made when Tokai was beginning to make some guitars for Fender for the Japanese domestic market. Production and the product line were greatly reduced from the peak in the early 80s.
Most likely it was made at the factory in Onchi.
