Starting a thread to gather these here and maybe eventually sort out who made which ones.

アコースティックギター Shenandoah by c f martin|Yahoo!フリマ(旧PayPayフリマ)

Shenandoah by Martin model 00028 I think it's a brand that prepares the wood in Japan and assembles it in America. Model number mh0028 Serial m01463x Rosewood, side and back specifications. I think it's plywood because it doesn't crack, but the wood grain visible from inside is also nice. There are no fatal cracks, cracks, or scratches on the body, but there are some scratches on the sides, back, and scratches on the top. There is some wear on the fingerboard, rosewood, and low frets. There are about 60-70% of the frets, and there are currently no tuning problems. There is no manufacturer's stamp on the pegs. There is no chatter or blockage in the sound when playing with open strings, but there is some sound vibration due to nut wear on the 3rd string, and I feel it when I play too hard, but I think this is within an acceptable range. I loosened the string height by about 3 mm on the 12th fret on the 6th string side, and about 2 mm on the 1st string by adjusting the chatter with the rod, so I think I can tighten it by about 60 degrees. Nut width 4.3 Saddle height about 2mm. There are scratches on the head, near the 5th string peg, and on the top. Neck condition, forward warpage, no heel lifting, strap pin installed. There are scratches on the bottom of the body, near the end pin, where a pickup may have been installed. The back of the neck is slightly dull, with light capo marks. The string length is about 632 mm, the top plate has no noticeable bulges, and the back plate has some slight damage. Bridge floating, none. No binding peeling. Comes with a hard case with the martin plate shown in the photo. As this is a used guitar, we do not accept requests from those who are particular about the item. Shipped in cardboard wrapped in bubble wrap. We do not deal with Okinawa or remote islands.

Shenandoah MH00028 Natural [SN M024063] [06/13] | Reverb Brazil

Shenandoah MH00028 is now in stock!

It is believed to be a model made by Terada Gakki after 1994, when a certain music store obtained a license from Martin. Veneer spruce top, rosewood SIDE/BACK body. Mahogany neck, rosewood fretboard, and a black honey bridge are the wood materials used. Scalloped X bracing (there is a shaving on the large brace under the bridge rather than the whole body), long saddle, approximately 42mm nut width, V-shape neck, and medium scale.

The body is generally dotted with scratches and dings. There is also a slight chip on the tip of the head, but it is not visible from the front, where it tends to be seen. The frets have a few string marks in the low position, but there are currently no playing problems, and about 80% of the frets remain. The remaining bridge saddle is about 2mm on the 6th string side and about 2.5mm on the 1st string side, as seen from the bridge stand.

Neck condition: No major problems as of now.
There is enough room in the truss rod.
About 80% of frets left (a few string marks)
Country of origin Japan
String height on 12F 6th string: approx. 2.5mm, 1st string: approx. 2.0mm
CaseNon-genuine hard case (size differs from the body)

And now for something different....

I would suspect this one is Chinese.

Possibly made in 2005 based on that serial number? CY05090165

I had the pleasure of conversing with the owner of this guitar just before it sold and he filled in some very important details. The most important bit was that the top was definitely laminated. That said, he also mentioned that the guitar sounded remarkably good, for what it was. Not a great instrument, but definitely a good one about on par with a decent Yamaha F series from the 1970's - 80's

The same correspondent mentioned that he had heard these 'last gasp' Shenandoahs were sold in Sam's Club stores. Not verified by him or any other source, just putting it out there

FWIW there's another one still for sale on Reverb, at a price that I don't think he's going to get....

A few more points about the D-3 model:

To date I know of 3 of these. All are identical to the one shown in this thread, down to the last detail. Haven't seen any other body style or trim level

Two showed up on Reverb, the other was an eBay auction. This last one seems to have been owned at some point by a Country music fan, since the top has been signed by quite a few artists in that genre
