Bit of advise guys, I'm gonna be looking at this http://tinyurl.com/aohac9 over the weekend and want some pointers as to what to look/check for. The seller messaged me as the original winner pulled out of the sale. I messaged the winner to find out if there were any issues etc and she replyed saying the guitar was in great condition and played really well, she went on to say the only reason she pulled out was that she found another guitar in her favourite colour (Pink !!!!) and she wanted that instead.
I've been offerd it for ?250 plus a hardcase, unfortunatly not a moulded one.
So what do you think? I think the price is good, I'll ask if he has the original sales reciept when I get there.

This seller has tried to shift that guitar before, and I stand by what I said in the previous post - it's a good price and the info given seems accurate, but buyer beware because this guy looks like a real scallywag. If you can inspect it in person then the terrible photos, inadequate description of damage etc. shouldn't be as much of an issue, but be careful.

There was no 'original winner', by the way. The first auction was pulled early.

Yeah the ad is poor and the photos equally so, the original ad was pulled thought he put it back up and if you click the above link you can see there was a winner as the auction ran the course.
A close inspection will most certainly be made, if its not up to scratch I can just walk away, he's not that far from me so its no hardship to go have a look.

yeah, I'm off to look at it now.

I'll report back later

Right, so I met the guy, he was actually a decent chap, I told him how rubbish his ad was and gave him a few pointers, anyway the guitar its in pretty good order, a couple of small marks but nothing to concern me, a few scuffs on the back from belt or studs from jeans. It has a cracked pick-up surround so I'll need to get that replaced, in fact I'll replace both of them, and its missing a screw from the scratch plate. If anyone has those items please do PM me with a price. So I got the guitar and a Stagg hard case for ?240. I'm pretty pleased with that.
Hers some pics, these were taken with my phone so apologies for the quality. I've included some bonus pics of my LS65 and my Gibson SG.

I've tried to re-size these and they're still coming out huge !!!

Right I've given it a good thrashing and she could do with a good set up. The action is way too high and the high E buzzes on the 14th fret when you play it.
I don't think its ever been done so after 8 or so years she's certainly overdue some TLC. She'll be off to the Luthier this week for a full service and set-up.
Even with those small issues she still plays well.
