The above example is advertised at 4.2 kg so, I won't be bidding as that is too heavy for my tastes in LP Specials.
My current favorite LP Special in my arsenal is under 7 lb.

Yes indeed it is looker.

Too bad it's heavier than all but one of my carved top LPs
If it was ~2 lb. lighter in weight I would be bidding.

I noticed that listing yesterday. I didn't see anything mentioned in the auction title or description that made reference to the luthier, unless he's the seller and his name is Lefty Seki. Did you ask the seller who built the guitar?

my first purchase (of two) from YJ seller leftyseki621 was 18 months ago but I have been following his offerings for about a year earlier than that. I have seen what the seller's MO is as far as the timing of his offerings and I have seen the seller take credit for builds that he offers.
I don't have anything to prove here but if you really have any interest in what the seller offers I would suggest keeping tabs on him and not relying on others to point you in any particular direction; maybe try formulating your own opinion(s).

at this time bidding stands at 163K yen and the listing has ~13 hours before bidding ends

based on my records of this seller and his offerings I will assume the ending price point for this example will end in a range of 195K yen to 205K yen.

Was surprised to see this example end at the 163K yen price but considering the advertised 4.2 kg aka 9.24 lb. weight then I suppose the ending price shouldn't really be such a surprise.

A Les Paul Special with very good sonic response shouldn't weigh more than ~8 lb. and at the 9.24 lb. weight that is IMO just way too heavy for a Special.

Hope the auction winner enjoys the extra weight of that good looking beast of an axe.
