These instruments were only made from 1980 to 1981, which makes extremely hard to find. The studio bass is the only passive bass from the Ibanez Musician series and is a transition model between the MC and the roadster . The ST824 is an Studio series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 1980. It was produced in Japan by the FujiGen factory in Matsumoto. The ST824 features a double-cutaway mahogany and maple body with walnut top bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with abalone dot position markers and a walnut headstock. The instrument is equipped with Super T-4 transducers and a solid Accu-Cast B fixed bridge with brass saddles and 19mm string spacing, a bone nut, chrome hardware and velve tune B machine head
